History

Founded in 1971 by Bert McNish and Allan Wilson, Crossflags (Motors) Ltd. began its journey into the motor trade by selling, servicing and providing accessories for all used cars.

From there the business grew from strength to strength and it's success led to Bert and Allan securing the Scimitar franchise in 1974. Along with Scimitar, Crossflags also delved into the high quality sports car market selling marques such as Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini etc. This business proved very successful and led to Bert buying Alan out and going it alone.

A couple of years after the buyout, Bert applied for the BMW franchise, which would allow a premium brand to be brought to Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.

Bert was successful and has built up the business that you see today.
